Antoine Carle aka Tchivett

© Antoine Carle

Antoine Carle is a berlin based dancer, improviser and performer.
He comes from france and has training in contemporary dance, performance art, somatic practices and martial arts. He studied Butoh dance with Atsushi Takenouchi, Masaki Iwana, Gyuhei Zaitsu, Richard Cayre, Ephia Gburek and Annabel Guérédrat among others. Since 2011 he partakes in different constellations of dance creative group processes and research collectives seeking to develop artistic and political practices around dance, improvisation, self-organisation, queer culture and feminism.
He creates his own solo pieces and toured throughout europe on DIY / underground scenes and in festivals using his artist name Tchivett. Through his work he developed an artistic approach to address the relationships between norms and transgressions, challenge the common representation of the body, and explore the human body as a material.
