Ellinor Ljungkvist is born in Sweden. At the moment she work as a freelance choreographer and dancer in the Scandinavians countries as well as in Germany and Austria. Ellinor holds a Diploma in Ballet and Contemporary Dance from Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance and a Bachelor in Arts from Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin. Ellinor has throughout her studies and work-experiences taken part in collaborations with choreographers, dancers and other artists such as poets and theatre directors. Additional to her collaborations she has in the last years developed her own choreographic work, which is known for its combination of contemporary dance and studies in conceptual art.
Pieces like I DWELL UPON PEOPLE, MOVE LIKE YOU HAVE A PURPOSE or TO CARRY A BITTER MEMORY has been presented at Scandinavian festivals as The Fringe Festival Stockholm, Inkonst Malmö, NORDLYS Copenhagen, Ravnedans Kristianstad, Örebro Art Gallery and at theatres in central-Europe as TQ Vienna, Schmiede Media & Art Festival Salzburg and in Berlin as Tanz im August, Tanznacht, Tanzfabrik, HAU3, Uferstudios and Akademie der Künste.
