Biography
I am an italian-born dance artist, former New Yorker and current Berlin resident. I am a dancer, choreographer and self-taught filmmaker.
I started working as a professional dancer in Italy with Junior Balletto di Toscana and Kaos-Balletto di Firenze. In 2007 I moved to NY and worked with acclaimed dance companies such as: Armitage Gone! Dance, The Metropolitan Opera, Pigeonwing Dance, Indelible Dance and Rebecca Kelly Ballet touring in the US, Europe and Asia.
I have been featured in music videos by artists like: Grammy Award winning band Pentatonix, Confidence Man, Chad Valley, Reggie Watts and Mira Cook.
Since moving to Berlin, I worked with independent choreographers and danced at Deutsche Oper Berlin (Antikrist, Elektra, die Fledermaus, Les Vêpres Siciliennes, Un Ballo in Maschera). I currently work with director Ersan Mondtag and with theater collective Panzerkreuzer Rotkäppchen.
As a choreographer, I have been commissioned works for institutions and festivals like: NFT Art Berlin, TanzOrtNord Festival (DE), Indelible Dance Company (NYC), Joffrey Ballet School (NYC), e-Luminate Festival (UK), Officine Caos (IT), Periapsis Music and Dance (NYC). I am a founding choreographer of Pratiche di Slancio (youth dance ensemble, IT). I was a winner of the Teatro Stalker (IT) residency in 2017. I am a two times recipient of the grant Dis-Tanz-Solo (2021 and 2022) to further my choreographic research with film. I also enjoy collaborating with artists of all mediums, recent collaborations include generative artist Alida Sun and composer Francesco Beccaro.
As a teacher, I have been a faculty member of The Joffrey Ballet School for 3 years. Other teaching credits include: Deutsche Oper Berlin, Marameo, Center of Dance (Berlin), Peridance NYC, Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance company class, Rebecca Kelly Ballet company class, NYC Community Ballet. I am an ABT® Certified Teacher in the Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
