We are at the threshold of TATWERK’s past and future 10 years.
The circumstances around us, both locally and globally, might feel like we are heading at full speed towards the end of the world — and yet, together, we want to find a common way of coping, resisting, and projecting ourselves into possible futures.
POSSIBLE FUTURES — our birthday party — is about celebrating what Tatwerk means, enables, and has built over the years, along with the existing community around us. It is an invitation to reflect on the past: What did you develop here? What inspired you? And to project it forward: What does that mean today? What might it mean tomorrow?
On Friday, December 13, starting at 3 PM, we invite you to Tatwerk for a day-long celebration of our common POSSIBLE FUTURES. Come and go as it suits you — we’re preparing a full program with plenty of time to reconnect and get to know each other. The birthday party will showcase Tatwerk’s archive of the past 10 years, host a dinner, feature the installation "Collective Projections" of materialized memories, and present performative interventions by Ana Kavalis, Dan Dansen, RILABEN, Gabi Turano, Giorgia Bovo & Carley Marholin, Min Yoon, Ludomir Franczak, and Ping-Hsiang Wang & Yi-Wei Tien.
Later, we hope to dance the night away.
To participate in the installation "Collective Projections", please bring a small object, fabric, or another material that has been part of your work, or a specific production, and that you are ready to part from. By donating it to the installation you will give it a new possible future.
We would be really happy to have you with us on this special day in TATWERK's history!
We were all unicorns. We can all be phoenixes.
