»It felt amazing. It felt like I've been trying not to explode and then I exploded.«
Where does rage come from? Where do we channel all this anger? Who could we become if we didn’t have to suppress it? Where does it lead us if we follow it?
During their research, artists Nora Decker and Carla-Frieda Nettelnbreker explored the spatiality of rage — both within and beyond motherhood. They delved into the layers of an emotion that remains socially taboo, often leading to silence and feelings of powerlessness. In order to counteract this supposed speechlessness, the artists open an acoustic space with their voices, allowing rage to unfold its polyphonic and resistant potential.
On March 15, Nora Decker and Carla-Frieda Nettelnbreker will share excerpts from this process with their guests at TATWERK. At the center is a live improvisation, continuously fed by the voices and texts of the performers, creating an archaic sound archive. The performance is framed by a participatory program that welcomes all interested parties on two occasions.
