How can the coexistence of plants, animals, human beings and fungi be reconsidered? In Eutopia, the audience members come together in small groups around a large game board and negotiate, step by step, the most fundamental questions of this coexistence. Through this, possible worlds and stories are created anew every evening, in which the human and the non-human are interwoven with each other. In doing so, the co-players question the models of biology, ecology and anthropology. This is a game of perpetual transformation, a reflection upon the influence of one’s own decisions and a theatrical experience for all of the senses.
In their long-running, award-winning collaboration, Cristina Galbiati and Ilija Luginbühl have created immersive installations in which the audience is faced with the core questions regarding human existence within poetic worlds. In their newest production, they integrate the audience even more consistently and allow it to primarily decide upon the course of the evening.
